Our partners at My Safe Place — a wonderful daycare that cares daily for some of the most vulnerable little ones — recently experienced major water damage after a plumbing issue. A big section of their floor had to be replaced, and the repair estimate came to $2,200.

I shared the need with the StVM team, and a few people passed it along on social media. One person in particular — someone I know very well (because she’s my daughter) donated $100. For a young college student, that is a generous, sacrificial gift, and it meant so much.
Then on Saturday, I received a phone call from someone who had heard about the situation. He told me he wanted to help cover the repair cost and would be mailing a check this week.
Last night, the director of My Safe Place let me know the updated estimate: $2,600. My heart sank a little, wondering how we would make up the difference.
But this morning, the donor reached out again to confirm the check was on its way.
The amount?
$2,500.
And suddenly — Aly’s $100 + this $2,500 = exactly what was needed to repair the daycare floor.
I’m always in awe of God’s provision.
This reminded me of two powerful truths:
1. God still moves in hearts to provide for the needs of His children.
2. Every donation matters — big or small.
Like the fishes and loaves in the gospels, when we simply choose to be faithful with what we have, God uses our gifts to do wonderfully big and beautiful things.
Thank you to everyone who gives, shares, prays, and believes in the mission of Love & Hope. You are making a real impact in real lives — more than you know. ❤️
