FOR MANY, THE FIRST TRIP IS THE BEGINNING OF A LONG RELATIONSHIP WITH A VERY SPECIAL PLACE.
Love & Hope Children’s Home has been blessed by many visitors, teams and volunteers over the years. We’ve seen people pour their hearts out to the kids in the home, the people in the community and the country of El Salvador. We’ve watched as walls were built, teeth were cleaned, games were played and friendships formed. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the love and support of so many people who gave of their time and decided to make a difference in El Salvador.
SHORT TERM
Teams of all shapes and sizes have visited our home. Teams have included: Medical, Dental, Women’s, Men’s, Youth, Community Groups, and others. If you’re interested in serving, we can help you connect with an existing team or help you assemble a team for your group or organization. Most short term teams stay between one and two weeks, and we can help you arrange accommodations. In addition to service projects we also make sure you get out for a day or two to see the beautiful country we call home.
LONG TERM
In addition to short term teams, there are also opportunities to serve the home for extended periods of time. Spending a few months or more at the home allows to know the kids, the ministry, and El Salvador at a deeper level. Long term volunteers assist with child care, study groups, extracurricular activities, administrative duties and more. Long term service is a very challenging, but very rewarding experience. Long term volunteers must raise outside support for room, board, and other expenses.
